I'm currently mid physics major with an emphasis on proof based maths and this is what I find most interesting desu, maybe the skills developed to be able to make solid models would be able to describe some stuff but I doubt that's all there is to solving the conciousness problem. Psychology seems to be full of unrelated shit and neuroscience's approach sounds way too materialistic so please redpill me on what is the best approach.

When I was a kid I would see fractal patterns when I closed my eyes. They were very vivid, as vivid as if I'd taken LSD. Any idea what that was about? Is this known to science? I almost wonder if it indicates a predisposition to schizophrenia or other disorders.

The sphere is a plastic sphere and has 2 disc magnets on either end, and below and above the sphere is a ring array of magnets of other magnets stuck together with a hole in the middle. North pole facing sphere, and disc magnet inside sphere North pole facing array, so both are repelling.
The idea is that it should "lock" into the hole, as that will be the weakest area, so it cant drift over the magnet ring as itll be repelled back towards the hole and if it gets too close vertically itll be repelled away still.
Supported on both from above and below so it cannot be flipped etc.
