Is it better to go for a degree in Math or CS? I'm torn between the two, I intend to go into CS but love and enjoy math.

It seems you can do CS after Math undergrad, but not the other way around.

Unpopular opinion: there's nothing wrong with shaming people who refuse to get the covid-19 vaccine

No.13597148 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
There is overwhelming scientific evidence that the vaccines being offered in the United States (moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson) are completely safe. If you're scared of getting the vaccine at this point at a minimum you are ignorant of the science.

This vaccine is the same vaccine being offered to all demographic groups. It is completely free and can easily be gotten during a weekend.

The people who refuse to get the vaccine are dumb. Cole Beasley and Hopkins are dumb in regards to their understanding of medical Science. You're just being politically correct if you're refusing to say that.

We might have to go into another lockdown because people refuse to get vaccinated in this country.

In most places the vaccination rate is dependent on the availability of the vaccine. In this country it's because half the population are idiots.

The Delta variant is more deadly than previous variants. It's also more contagious. Fully vaccinated people who contract it have much milder symptoms than unvaccinated people.

The really sad part is the anti-vax people who are preventing their teenagers from getting the vaccine. These people 100% deserve to be shamed.

And to answer Chris whittingham's question of why we haven't heard a good argument against vaccination is because there isn't such an argument.

Thinking of making laceration on my arm with a knife.

Not even depressed, no history of self harm. I just want to do it, then go it sutured up at the hospital, so I can better understand what it's like for patients in the ER.

I'm a premed, but the only kind of medical training I have is a 1 year Primary Care Paramedic program, and I've worked as a PCP for the past 2 years.

I'm planning on making the incision about 3cm distal to the antecubital fossa, in-between the median antecubital vein and basilic vein, avoiding the basilic vein and medial cutaneous nerve of the forearm. I chose this spot because I believe it will hurt less than the hand, as well as preventing potential complications in healing.

Obviously I can't be completely sterile about it, but I'll use similar precautions to what one would use for starting an IV.

Any tips?

What do you think?

Will gene therapy of stem cell therapy cure it somehow? How long will it take?

Is there hope for all people suffering from hearing loss?
