Why do some races/ethnicities have such huge tits while others are essentially flat chested?
East Asians like tits so I refuse to believe it is a lack of environmental pressure

Let Y be any sentence.

Let X be the sentence "If this sentence is true, then Y". Then

1. X ? (X ? Y) [by definition]
2. X ? X [by identity]
3. X ? (X ? Y) [from 1 and 2 by substitution]
4. X ? Y [from 3 by contraction]
5. X [from 1 and 4 by substitution]
6. Y [from 4 and 5 by modus ponens]

Thus every sentence is true.

quitting phd

No.13630455 ViewReplyOriginalReport
That's it i'm done.
It's my second year and the only thing i've learned over the course of doing a Ph.D is that professors need braindead slaves who will do all work for them, will refuse to actually teach their students unless you're relatives or friends and finally there is no future for you in academia unless you're willing to spend your entire life waiting untill that old fuck is dead and MAYBE his position will be given with you. Unless of course the university will find someone they consider better (because they know eachother).
Candidates are all brainwashed with citation indexes and all that crap but reality is that academia is all about nepotism and who you know and most importantly, who your relatives are. If you are a nobody there is absolutely no chance you will succeed in this field.
Somehow i think that it would be better if most professors were executed by a firing squad because they contribute absolutely nothing to the scientific progress and are literally a waste of space on this earth.
This whole system is rotten to the core and needs to be torn down ASAP.

Testing Out of College

No.13630916 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Anyone running into the problem of College taking a stupid amount of time to finish, having to take a bunch of bullshit Humanities courses unrelated to your STEM major? And now with all the corona bullshit and the completely online classes we have to take (which are absolute dogshit), it seems completely pointless to go the traditional college route.
There are countless fully online options out there with more flexibility. Excelsior, Thomas Edison State, etc. will let you fulfill degree requirements with credit by examination such as CLEP, DSST, and IB, as well as their own tests.
Theoretically, you can finish a bachelors in a year or two depending on how motivated you are.
You won't have to sit through a semester of learning Black People Heritage or whatever the fuck, just take a CLEP exam on Diversity Studies that takes less than a week to study for and be done with it.
Another problem though is that you probably wont find an online degree program for a high-level STEM area. However, once you do have a BS in whatever area, you could jump into a Masters which can lead into a PHD in any area you want anyway.
Look this stuff up, no need to wreck yourself, there are always other ways around bullshit.
Anyone got their degree completely online or tested out of most of it?

precautious teen to midwit adult?

No.13631821 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I was never a genius by any means. But when I worked hard, I mastered most of the things that I learned (say Maths, Physics). That was when I was 17.
Over the past 6 years, my intelligence has dwindled significantly. I have trouble retaining information, and learning in general. I'm not sure if this is a psychological block, or if I'm just becoming increasingly retarded. I don't drink or smoke, so my neurons must be fried from the constant flux of information i receive on this site and others. I've practically dropped from being an overachieving teenager (academically) to a mediocre college student, devoid of any passion.
I am unironically close to falling for the therapist meme. How the hell am I supposed to recover from being a full blown retard.

Mathlet Question about Expectancy

No.13631410 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Does the expectancy vary between these two different scenarios and if so what's the expectancy for each scenario? Imagine you're on a game show where the goal is to spin a red and black wheel and land on black as much as possible. You have to pick between two wheels. Wheel 1 is 20% black and the rest is red. If you pick wheel 1 you get to spin it 5 times. Wheel 2 is 5% black and the rest is red. If you pick wheel 2 you get to spin it 20 times. Which wheel should you spin considering the expected outcome of each wheel? Does it matter which one you pick? I'm too retarded so I can't into math and this has been bothering me.

Scientifically speaking, should we euthanize people that say "covid has never been isolated", despite the fact we have literal electron microscopy pictures of it (besides more than 10k genome sequencing results and etc)?

Or would sterilizing them be enough?

The steel beams question

No.13630695 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Steel melting point: 2500-2800 Fahrenheit
Jet fuel fire temperature: 2,000 Fahrenheit

Scientifically speaking, how can steel beams melt at temperatures below steel's melting point?
