there has gotta be an optimized way to get better faster. in sports, there are training programs which sometimes cater to a small population of people and yet produce incredible results in a short period of time. the same should exist for cs.

What actually protects vertebrate life from epidemic prion disease?

Reading how prions are deadly and extremely difficult to remove or destroy, I don't understand what mechanism stopped them from pressing everything with a central nervous system into extinction long before humanity ever emerged, a sort of Prion Goo scenario
