Western cartoons tend to be made long in advance relative to syndicated anime, where they can be editing the last touches the week of airing. Either way it's a huge mess but personally had enough high points to make up for the also numerous lows. Others would argue it's a waste of time, but as long as you come into it knowing that it's not to be watched for shipping or slashfic reasons, you should be more OK than most of the fandom who came in expecting teh yaoiz and threw a hissyfit when it turned out to not be that (not that it was ever going to be).
