You will never get to truly know a person's real personality and intentions until you live with them, humans will always behave "better" in public than at home, especially women who are natural liars. You probably have never lived with women but I have so I know how they are, your "friends" were probably talking shit about you when you weren't around with them and only were interested in being your "friends" for a specific reason. Men don't know this but many women "like" to hang around with guys only because they know guys will always give them so much attention, but later those women who call themselves your "friends" will get together to do things like eat dinner or watch tv together while talking shit about other people(especially men).
