I get if people want jayvik to be a domestic couple in fanfiction because that's just fanon and a way to cope with the possibility of them being dead, but do people actually think post-canon jayvik would have a cottagecore family aesthetic? They'd be traumatized losers with severe survivor's guilt and ptsd, especially Viktor given that went against everything he once stood for and killed hundreds of innocent people including children. Hell, he'd probably hate himself and wonder why his victims had to die while he gets to have a second chance at life. Maybe they could heal after some years, but they wouldn't have a soft cottagecore family. I can see them becoming mentors and maybe father figures to orphaned kids ala Witch Hat Atelier at most.

Same. 100% to the rest of what you said as well, they're too troubled. It's hard for me to even envision them being parents in a S1 canon divergence AU. Not sure how to explain it but it just doesn't make sense for their characters imo. Maybe in a "unwittingly find themselves becoming parents because a random kid somehow fixes themself into their lives" scenario like in the short stories, but not in a "Viktor let's have kids and eat family dinners every evening in our three bedroom mansion" way.

Oh also even though he's 10, if you play the female protagonist in the portable version you can date him, and its not "haha I'll date you when you're 18 if you still like me" kind of thing, its full on date him while he is 10. When it got a PC port all the mod sites banned mods that let you date him as male protag and promoted mods that remove the option to date him as a girl.
