>>92957227We weren't big enough to launch something that big: /b/ and its reddit cross traffic was to blame for that, but no one cared. it was a western cartoon and therefore our fault. On top of this, you have /co/'s inherent liberalism, cultivated over time in a hipster-ish environment. Mix that with an ever increasing number of /pol/dancers, who at this point, had begun acquiring /v/, /tv/, and several other boards a proxies, and you have a recipe for disaster. There was also the fact that, unlike most of 4chan, no one here cared about furries. We were isolated from the drama that since 2004, gave weeb 4chan users an ax to grind. Western cartoons, as you know, are often full of anthropomorphic characters, and much like how any medium on 4chan is often milked for waifus from its respective board, we were no exception. When the /v/irgins and the /a/utists and the /pol/acks came in and saw us, they saw a ripe new target to scapegoat for all their troubles: something alien they could unite against in a brainless mob mentality. they've been doing so ever since.
/co/ has never been the same. Caturday and other similar threads were wiped off the face of the map because of crossboard spam. Storytiming has been brought to a screeching halt because the attention made us a bigger, faster board, warranting a crippling cooldown. The Dark Knight Rises Fiasco led to more and more /tv/ users flooding the place with memespouting, and five years of the practice has long ingrained it into the system, giving all newfags the worst kind of cancer to lurk off of.
We were once part of a peaceful suburb. now we have been engulfed by the violent, horrid hellhole that is the "Inner City" of 4chan, and in doing so, our inherent differences have earned us a retarded title that we will likely never shake off.
Newfriend, if I have but one piece of advice for you it's this: Don't become part of the same idiotic ,mongoloid hivemind that has tortured us all these years.
