>>104026858The set design was wonderful, making the Grinch a tinker was brilliant, there are good jokes like the Grinch being shot in the Bigfoot video pose, and there aren't enough movies about eccentric, spiteful, mischievous shut-ins. The Oscar bait song was ham-fisted and stupid. The Grinch's tragic backstory was unnecessary and he didn't need a love interest. But they did a good job, all things considered.
