I thought this was resolved back during Fury Road, why are we still having this conversation now?
Posted box office isn't enough to break even. Just because you don't see the number doesn't mean the production company doesn't count it. Additionally, every theater takes its own cut of box office gross for themselves that the studio will never receive, and that rate changes from region to region, on average it's about 50% now. So for films nowadays you need to make at least twice the budget to 'break even' and BoP has only just hit 33 million compared to Suicide Squad's 133 million in its own 3 day release. Those numbers don't fill anyone with confidence. At least anyone that's smart enough to look at the actual numbers
