They've proclaimed themselves to be the redheaded stepchildren of homosexuals and, as a result, feel the need to make every single thing they do an act of rebellion. It's made all the worse by the fact that a decent handful (more, depending on who you ask) are just deluded straight girls who are in it for attention or spite. Even lesbians hate lesbians. Gay dudes don't feel the need to be so condescending when they talk about who they like in their beds. Maybe they're all just upset because girls kissing girls is such an effective marketing gimmick, maybe they mistake every man they meet for their withholding father, maybe it's all Rosie O'Donnell's fault. Who knows. The closest you'll ever get to writing a likable lesbian character is making a porn comic. Then at least they'll have an excuse for being one-note.
