>>98504922>And that is what we have a problem with. Why, though? He has really legitimate reasons to be pissed.
He got rejected by Lucy before and found a new girl. His relationship with Sandy is shown to be alright for most of the time, only dipping recently. He was happy.
Then Lucy comes and confesses. He isn't pissed off at her confession immediately. He just rejects, like she had rejected him. Business as usual. He wasn't particularly awkward or cruel when doing so.
Then, the next day, he sees her in a flirty mood alongside Paulo (which, I think, he knew she had a crush on during childhood) and we go back to what I said earlier: to Mike, it seems she was just trying to ruin his relationship with Sandy by confessing, so she wouldn't lose him.
Lucy WAS a parasite. That's a fact and Mike and by that point of the story Mike knew that.
>If he really believed that she loved him, and got rejected, he would understand feeling like shit about it and wanting comfort from someone, since he did the same thing rebunding to Lucy when Sandy moved away. He believed until the next day, when he saw Lucy and Paulo. Did Mike rebound immediately? No, it took some time.
Maybe if Lucy had waited for some time Mike wouldn't be so pissed, we'll never know. But I fundamentally disagree with you analysis. Mike took it seriously untill Lucy gave reasons for him to believe it wasn't the case, not the other way around.
I also don't see reason why Mike has this obligation to see Lucy's side. Mike actually does this way too much, with everyone, and what we're saying right now is Mike lashing out against this. We see this on this very page
>>98491125When you do that with everyone, people will start taking it for granted. Mike is right yet again for putting a stop to this bullshit, especially with Sue.
