Remember the episode for the summon spells? It was another of those.
The All Seeing Eye spell is a new addition there, but it's months after Bon Bon, so the ASE being there has to Eclipsa's doing. There was a line there reminding us it's her spell, after all.
We also found out that Star's been using the ASE a lot lately, most likely to spy on Marco.

So does Moon permanently have the purple scars on her arms or not? In the early part of Season 2 we see she has normal hands, but then when Eclipsa comes back to Mewni Moon heavily implies her hands are permanently scarred, and yet in the Stump Day episode she's once again normal. What gives?

The "sad" truth is that most of the shows are not planned out properly. Even Avatar. The only thing that show had pre-planned were 3 seasons, learning the elements and the final battle with Ozai. Not the resolution of the battle, just the fact it was going to happen. And also maybe a vague idea for Zuko's redemption arc.

The newer episodes are making Marco super unlikable. Is it only me or is it kind of foul idea for a joke not to be able to celebrate your birthday on your birthday because wood will come and hurt you?

For the lore posters "Stump Day" was a fun episode that could be explained by Star's magic. Usually episodes like this in series are just jabs at the he's real after all joke, but due to Star's nature of unnaturally strong magic, it's possible she conjured up the Stump out of her own emotions. This would explain how even Moon who is part of the MHC didn't know about the stump, because Star made him real that night with her magic. All in all just a way Nefcy could use a fun joke as a plot device.

Marco and kelly have had an slow and mostly offscreen development, of which we only have glances of it in 3 episodes (a constrast of tomstar development)
Kelly seem to have developed a crush on him since LLB and MB while Marco still being an idiot about Star has show that he does like kelly, not in a huge way yet because he is a retard, (specially on MB were he dropped his annoyed face about Handsword dance to dance with kelly almost inmediatly)
I honestly think the next episodes will have more hints, until Star just realize their relationship have grown, like rigby and that mole relationship on regular show.
So maybe mid-late season 3b we could have a confirmation when star looks at them being cute and perfect togheter, which will only bring more drama and suffering, because Nefcy.
