Then play Megaman X1 - X3. Just watch a longplay of the X4 - X6. Don't even waste your time on X7 & X8. Everything else in the MM series is an acquired taste.
Do you like enemy-hell platformers and don't mind grinding? Play the Zero series. They got ported to the DS and gained an Easy mode iirc.
Do you like Metroidvanias? Then play ZX and ZXAdvent. They're both extremely short.
If you like RPGs, play Command Mission.
The Battle Network series is worth a try. The later games have a hilariously bad translation.
Star Force plays a lot like Battle Network, so if you hated MMBN, then don't bother.
If you like hot garbage, play Megaman Legends 1, 2, and The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Each one is bad in its own special way.
