Why?

The entire show is "the worst episodes of Luke Cage" bad. The main character is a whiny, privileged idiot who can't do stunt work OR sound menacing to save his life. The most compelling characters are the villains; you find yourself ROOTING for them sometimes.

Just read a plot summary and watch a "best of Ward" video on youtube.

Danny will be the worst part of the Defenders.

They almost entirely seriously do not.
He's plagued by them the whole fucking series, to the point it fucks up his Chi and he can't use the Iron Fist.
Holy shit this series was so bad.
I really wanted to like it. I really did.

While the whole run was pretty shit; the first few eps were by far the worst of the lot ( mostly because literally every single character that gets any screentime at all is more entertaining than Danny is ).
