This season was the first one that had lasting "bummer" impact. The past two were great, but they ended on a somewhat uplifting note. Season 1 ends with a horse kid telling Bojack that he idolizes him, and season 2 ends with him thinking "Maybe I really can get better".
This one ends with Bojack alienating everyone who ever cared for him, and indirectly killing Sara. I made a horrible mistake watching it in the morning, and then felt bummed for the rest of the day.
If they do end it at 5 seasons (and they can keep up the quality), I hope they end it on an uplifting note. Not mega-happy or course, but a mild comfy ending like season 2 would be nice.
