In every aspect, from the characters to the setting to the plots it is vastly inferior to ATLA. A thousand numales and obese dykes with green hair and piercings may swamp this or that website with their pseudo-reviews, and semites may shill for it, but that doesn't make the show good.
We went from wonderful and interesting characters, a boundless type of world filled with wonders and adventure, from spirits and spirituality to what can be described as a modern, lifeless city (prison). The characters were empty shells (basically liberals) and bending was reduced from something amazing to something dull and then further fucked up with the "explanation" why it exists and how it works.
I repeat, the only reason "people" like this is because those people are shit, and Korra was shit in the same way they are.
