>>110569220>Do you not understand nuance? There are ASPECTS, bits and pieces, sections of Japanese animation that I think Western animation could learn from.
"Nuanced" for something not need>I do like anime, but I already stated I like Western Animation more, I just love the artform. I personally don't give a shit if others take the artform seriously, but I wish the industry would, and would create a greater variety of work.
There is greater variety in it but you clearly aren't putting in the effort to go look for it>They usually live or die based entirely of what the domestic demographic thinks, so me thinks you're wrong here
No, you're actually very wrong on that since most anime's are adaptions rather then something original>Then we wouldn't have an /a/ board, would we?
We have an /a/ board because /b/ can't handle every single topic
Don't pretend that just because there's a group of some fucko's online who like the same thing means it's popular everywhere else>And? Some people DID watch it all the way through
Don't ignore what I tell you, anime's popularity died off after a certain point and most people only know what happened base off third party information>I don't give a fuck, so long as we get some more interesting shows, if competing against them in the action genre or slice of life, or god forbid isekai genre does that, then they can't do it sooner.
What I'm telling you is that you won't find actual mature shit too much in anime and a lot of it is made to pander to kids and otakus
Dragon Ball now airs on a kids timeslot and was given the shit budget despite it's legacy
If you love western works so much you won't put japan shit on a pedestal and say "This could make it better" when western creators do make work that's better just as much as japan does
