>>123529142>>123529988>Next month, DC Comics is launching Batman: Reptilian, a new six-issue series from writer Garth Ennis (Preacher, The Boys) and artist Liam Sharp (Testament, The Green Lantern). While discussing the upcoming title, Ennis -- who returns to Gotham City after previously penning issues of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight -- called into question the Dark Knight's supposed "code of honor."In an exclusive interview with CBR, Ennis was asked about his approach to writing Batman, who -- in Reptilian -- seems especially single-minded in getting the job done while not compromising his code of honor. "What we're talking about here is a billionaire aristocrat who beats up poor people, as well as the mentally ill," Ennis replied. "I don't know what that has to do with a code of honor, but it certainly appeals to my sense of humor -- which was probably my way into writing the character and the reason I enjoyed writing him more than I otherwise might have."
