Al I saw was about 5 or 6 episodes when it first came out though, by the time of the Sea King arc I realized the story was just repeating the same old joke over and over and wasn't going to improve.
What really shook me up was how Saitama was lecturing all the people who were pissed off he didn't fully destroyed the meteorite. He purposefully held his punch back enough to not fully vaporize it into absolute nothingness, something we have seen him do casually to a mountain.
and even if the meteor was bigger his entire point is being able to destroy absolutely anything in one hit, and he just lectured people whose entire lives have been either destroyed or ruined to an unbelievable extreme thanks to him.
I just can't accept how we are supposed to like a guy who would do this sort of thing for no fucking reason then act like he was in the right for it.
I know he could have completely 100% destroy that meteor, He should know he could have done that, and the fact there were no actual casualties is a giant fucking COPE-OUT by the author to make sure no one will reasonably hate him for killing their loved ones.
He directly destroyed the fucking city and got rewarded for it. Just complete bullshit.
All that put a bad taste in my mouth but having to sit through Bike-mans speech, knowing every single word is not only meaningless, but will have absolutely zero effect on ANYTHING was the final straw. I didn't care about this character or what he had to say because by the end of it the same shit that always happens happen. Saitama shows up and kills the big bad in one hit. None of the characters mattered, nothing they did meant anything in the end, it's all just a waste of time so that Saitama could do his punch.
I don't go to /a/ so all this builds up through out the months, so sometimes i just need to let it out and rant about it. And sometimes I get fun discussion in return
