Naw. Every bullshit argument you can make for She-Ra gets countered if you use the same rules for Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman shattered Cronus' scythe which absorbed and held the powers of all the gods, including the ones that make multiverses in puddles.

Wonder Woman even has an edge in the bullshit. She actually bust Cronus' scythe. She-Ra was never in the same room as the star seed. Wonder Woman has also held her own against a bloodlusted Superman (though she had to cheap shot him with kryptonite to stand a chance) while She-Ra's power is so nothing compared to He-Man's that in the recent multiverse crossover she didn't even cameo.

Evil He-Man started collecting power swords from the He-Men of the multiverse to powerup but he didn't touch She-Ra or her alternates.

He found the 87' Dolph He-Man's power worthy of stealing but totally passed on She-Ra.

She-Ra and He-man kind of makes sense because they get their powers from the same source, but like the whole justice league "scales" to superman, even though it's very obvious he's vastly more powerful than most of them.
Scaling other kyptonians to superman makes sense, sure. but if we apply this shit universally, we may as well say that half the DC universe is as fast as the flash because they can fight him on equal ground sometimes.

Not really. Honor of Greyskull gives a pretty different power set from Power of Greyskull. She-Ra is like the Martian Manhunter version of He-Man. She lags behind He-Man in stats and raw power but has a plethora of extra abilities (healing, force field, shapeshifting sword) to "make up" for it.

Greyskull has a lotttttt of weird magic artifacts and power. Drawing on one section of its power isn't like drawing on another.

They're giving She-Ra comic feats, and the last issue of Masters of the Multiverse showed that the DC comics She-Ra is a distinct entity from the Filmation She-Ra. So it's only fair they give Diana Earth-1985 feats.

Earth-2 Diana also held her own in a semi-serious fight with Kal-L over the Manhattan project's existence. They weren't trying to kill each other but they were trying to beat the other in a duel. The caveat being here is that Kal-L didn't ramp to Kal-El levels until after WW2 when he got the grey in his hair.

It should but only in certain cases and only with all context considered. It has been abused though, and perhaps the biggest abuse was Wonder Woman vs Black Canary. It was a sparring session between friends. Wonder Woman wasn't trying to hurt her let alone murder her. When the biggest alpha chad in the dojo lets you tap him while practicing arm bars, you don't "scale" to him.

I’ve never actually gotten round to reading that story but I’ve seen it turn up in enough VS/respect threads I know the general gist: Cronus goes around massacring pantheons to get enough power to threaten the Big P, then Wonder Woman dives in front of him and breaks the thing on her bracelets.

I know Wonder Woman’s lasso’d Hecate’s soul at the end of War of the Gods, but I also remember Circe reverted her back to clay in the same story and it took outside help to restore her. Been a while, but surely a god with multiple levels of multiverse puddle making could’ve done something to her.

Personally I wasn't a fan of either idea, though Perpetua is more of a problem because she seems to explicitly retcon previous stories.
That being said I mostly have a problem with her because I'm a Morrison fanboy who loves his interpretation of the DC multiverse and its "origins"

Snyder is so fucking disjointed in his worldbuilding. Back when I used to message him on twitter I asked him why he was mucking around with Hawkgirl when Venditti was working so hard in his own book to get Hawk continuity under control.

He told me that he talked to Venditti and they worked together on the Hawks. I don't know what is worse--the possibility its a lie or the possibility he's telling the truth and DC writers are that garbage at collaborating.

Things are such a mess with the metaverse and hypertime and Earth-1985. And it wouldn't be so bad if they were actually creative, but it seems the extent of their creativity rests in breaking stuff they didn't create. Snyder even got pissed at me when I posted how sad it was Morrison left a great cosmic toybox full of story opportunities and the best he can come up with was stories of destruction and pain. "Nah. I want the Dark Mutliverse." Fuck Sunshine Superman give me Batman Who ROFLs."

Then he had Perpetua blow up the Metal Men Earth and Victorian Earth, which proved my point.

1. I don't know. I think the Metal Men Earth is a nice spin on the "if there is no Superman we must create him" that's been bounced around from Superman Inc to Morrison's Superdoom. Plus, I'm a sucker for the Metal Men. They've never had a slam-dunk story but I still love them.

The closest thing I can remember is this issue, where shortly after Grail kills Hercules to power up Shotaseid some more, it turns out he put pretty much all his old stuff in his will to Diana along with a “I’m a huge fuck up, be better than me sis, also get hype for Jason” letter. Which yet some more issues later on, is apparently all it takes for Diana to use the power of love to rip him, Zeus and the other demigods (at least one of whom made people starve at her bidding according to Grail’s internal monologue) out of Darkseid.

I guess the power of love is easy to use when all it takes for you to forgive someone for the desecration and conquest of your mother and her tribe is a nice letter and their old stuff.

At no point, I should stress, does Diana pull a Billy Batson can power up with Hercules energy or whatever.

It’s fascinating yet horrifying that not only did DC see fit to reference Amazons Attack! TWICE during the course of this solo as if under the impression people actually LIKED Amazons Attack! but the stereotype of Amazons being insane murderous bitches seems to have carried over so hard that even in the “we’re treading water” un-continuity Justice League currently takes place in, upon arriving to Themyscira to rescue Jim Corrigan the Amazons greet the League by comparing men to cockroaches. The only explaination I can think of is DC is so creatively bankrupt Amazons Attack! is the closest thing they have to a coherent idea of what amazons are about.

Oh, and we came /this close/ to Grail possibly teaming up with Diana given the 2nd Amazons Attack reference had her with Diana charging at...something that was clearly written out of the story to make way for Year of the Villain. To this day I still don’t know if it would’ve actually been worse than what we got.

This is likewise supported by a bunch of things both in Work Soul itself, other stuff like it, interviews and even the show itself. Even LordGenome explicitly calls the Universe in setting as something that we only refer to as such because that's how our perceptions treat it. The TTGL 'universe' is a multiverse in actuality.
