>>114832588>The elements define the nations,The elements are used to name the nations, and benders of each element are mostly residents of each nation, but that's not how they're defined. The nations are defined by their populations which have particular territories, histories, cultures, and shared descent. Look up what "nation" means. Bending is largely hereditary, so the elemental patterns tend to stay in place over time, but being a bender of X element doesn't define a person as a member of X nation.
>The force isnt obsolete by technological advancementsAnd neither is bending. It's instead supplanted various technologies (like generators) whose function would be done by machines in real life. The existence of automobiles implies generator technology to run the electronics, so it's not like they don't have the option. Bending is just better for certain things and worse for others. Just like the Force in Star Wars, magic in The Lord of the Rings, or psi in Starcraft.
>The avatar setting is uniqueLike all other settings, it has similarities and differences with other settings. Everything is "unique" if you split it finely enough. What justification do you have for doing that in this case?
>so its hard to explainIt would be easy if you actually understood why you believe it. But you can't, which implies that you don't understand why you believe what you do. Or that you have a cognitive disability.
>She got betterWhich means it' a learned skill, not an innate ability.
>we didnt see other people use it besides the sandbendersWhich means it's a learned skill, not an innate ability.
>Her skill, UNLIKE other techniques doesnt make her good automaticallyShe wasn't good automatically. She had a lot of potential, but she mostly taught herself. That involves actual training and practice. You know that Toph snuck out to do advanced earthbending while she lived with her parents, right?
