>>112744132most people tend to like to look at humans instead of buildings, that's simply a biological fact.
I once met someone who, like me, wanted to do something in the art biz in the future. But unlike me who only drew humans, he drew cars.
I could never understand him, drawing a car is incredible boring to me, but he loved that shit.
But people like him are rare. It had nothing to do with "he knew to seek inspiration outside of anime", he just drew what he liked.
When i look at fancy buildings, i feel nothing
When i look at fancy food, i feel nothing
When i look at fancy landscaped, i feel nothing
So why should in spend god knows how many hours trying to learnt to draw this shit, when I, and most other people, think it's not worth the time?
Such things are only being used to make the setting, it's literally in the background.
Sure, whenever there is like a single page of a beautiful building being the center, people go "Wow, look at this amazing art" but have this building be the center of almost all the panels in a comic book, with the humans only in the background? Everyone and their mother would call it boring.
