>>109876089>The switch from Earth to MewniWhy was this bad? Because Marco (your self-insert) was out of his element?
>milquetoast politicsWhy do you care about that? This show is about shipping. That's the main focus.
> distancing from the previous seasonHow do you mean? Phyisical distance? Mewni is in another fucking dimension so what. Thematically? We no longer need wacky Earth adventures because both Marco and Star have matured and fought, and proven themselves.
>doesn't know how to do a romance and thinks needless dramaNo. I'd like to take you back to the Sleepover episode where they play Truth or Punishment. Star says that even though her favourite color is blue right now, ultimately nothing is set in stone. Your feelings and your life should be a cascade of everything, like a rainbow. All colours, all feelings.
She's also a sagittarius. This is important because it explains why Star and Marco had other relationships becore settling down with each other. Sadge is the sign of adventure. All sadges are known for having hectic and chaotic early lives, full of adventure and wanderlust (they are a horse), which after they settle down, full of experiences of the world. Nefcy didn't want to give Star a perfect story where everything falls in its place, just like with every Disney princess.
But something more like what actual life is. Messy, incoherent, hurtful, chaotic. But hey look at that. We didn't fucking die after all that. And Star and Marco still found each other.
