>>108272849I don't really like child genius characters. In fact, I generally don't like characters that are super intelligent at all. I feel like most writers don't know how to write for them and it turns out like that really shitty Sherlock tv show as a result.
Also, I don't care about new versions of classic characters. So Miles, Riri, Vision kids, girl Hawkeye, etc...I just think they're all about as lazy as the Mortal Kombat ninja reskins.
I also don't like how Marvel tends to make it clear that the new versions are all better than the originals.
The Ultimate universe had it's ups and downs (a LOT of downs), but I wish it still existed so it could contain all these knockoffs in their own private universe. Miles in particular makes no fucking sense in 616 and has no business calling himself Spider-Man. He should have a new name at the very least in a world where Parker is still alive and well.
To answer your original question, I haven't read her book. I don't really plan on it. I'm waiting for all this Asgardian bullshit to be over before I try Marvel again.
If Ironheart is actually good, then that's fine. I care mostly about solid writing that hopefully doesn't have some political subtext.
How well is it selling?
