>Cartoon Network Studios has revealed the finalists for its inaugural Storyboard Artist Training Program, a paid 12-week course on the fundamentals of storyboarding for television.
>Out of more than 2,000 submissions, six emerging artists made the cut based on their portfolios of sample sequential artwork and dialogue, ability to impart action through drawings, and storytelling criteria.
>From February 4 to April 26, the finalists will receive instruction in advanced storyboarding techniques, dialogue writing, gesture drawing, and defining elements of physical comedy. They will also get firsthand production experience from rotating in-house production crews and various guest instructors including Matt Burnett and Ben Levin (Craig of the Creek), Owen Dennis (Infinity Train), Julia Pott (Summer Camp Island) and JG Quintel (Close Enough).
