I’m on episode 8 right now. I’m loving the darker and more mature direction this season has taken but I absolutely hate how 75% of the cast get barely any screentime. Hell you might as well call this season Young Justice Dick Grayson

I was surprised Weisman had Spectacular Aunt May as GG rather than Asner, since they go way back, but then I remembered he did Kent Nelson and they seem to be trying to avoid reusing any of the DCAU actors in the same roles. Like it would have been so simple to have Phil LaMarr do Static. Teen Titans may be different, seeing the Cipes recasting and if Cyborg ever shows up, there’s no way it won’t be Payton, but they seem to be real intent on steering clear of reusing DCAU casting.

Holy shit the animations in these batch of episodes were bad. Episode 7 was mostly a slide show and there was so much off-model shots in episode 9. Despite that I liked them all for the most part. Episode 9 was the most entertaining.

Well, it's a legitimate question the show hasn't exactly answered yet. Either Klarion is able to reel himself in long enough to get a big goal - presumably a large amount of chaos when something like an Earth Apokolips war breaks out - or the Light has some method to keep him in check.

Whoever drew Shade had much love for a simple plot teleportation character. Using a mask that doesn't move when he speaks instead of the facefitted ones in JL made him more menacing. Also got a costume change in a single episode.

Going by the law of economic drawing, I'm going to treat how they animated Shade as an indicator to how Raven will be shown using her powers.

Honestly, I'm glad we're focusing a lot on the new guys. Season 2 gave us tons of literally whos and didn't do anything with most of them. Here, they're introducing a smaller group and focusing on them.

It'd be nice to see more characters get attention, but I'm sure we will. Though as it stands, most of the originals are still getting focus.

This show is back in a big way. It managed to transcend the shitty animation and produce three of the best half hours of television in a while this week. Would I have liked to have seen the Warworld battle, Tim's harem fighting Clayface, and the Lobo brawl in all of season 1 and 2's glory? Of course. But the level of genius on display is just too good to cast aside.

What do you think they'll be? I think with the more mature format you can make things interesting.

Companies are willing to throw out big money for streaming now. ESPN gave UFC 1.5 billion just for streaming service. Initial returns aren't the biggest thing here, it's all about having a wealth of content.

As keikaku plans go, using starro as a proxy was a very minor scheme that changed nothing in the balance of power between Earth and Apokolips. It was more like a gesture of disdain. God playing with his food.
