>>102982750>Depends on the character. I think it's fine if it seems like something the character would do. Emma Frost, Starfire, Zatanna, Power Girl for example. When it's weird poses and bad costumes solely for titillation of the reader it takes me out of the story. This pretty much, just have good art and non ridiculous poses and I don't give a shit about the TnA. You can have a female character be sexy, have large boobs and ass and I don't care. But if you have her bending over every 5 seconds or making constant poses that were obviously traced from model or swimsuit magazines, it takes me out mostly because it sticks out.
And that's pretty much only inside the pages, heck outside you can have sexy character poses and I would just take it as a pin-up, that shit doesn't really work much in superhero sequential art unless it's an action pose. Although having a teenager like Kamala or Supergirl would still be weird in official material.
That said I don't have any problems with Milo Manara's Spider-Woman cover, the only thing I don't like about Manara's work is the faces, I never liked them and other than that I don't care.
