It's easier to warm yourself up when it's cold than it is to cool off when it's hot. I especially can't stand anything too warm or else I get this prickly feeling all over my body, dunno what it is but I've been debating if it's high blood pressure. Either way its been like this since I was a kid, it can be like slightly warm in a room and I'm burning up while everyone else is borderline lukewarm, I can turn on an air conditioner and as soon as I start cooling off anyone else in the room is practically freezing.
It was especially bad during school years ago, it was so fucking hot sometimes, and aside from that prickly feeling, my nose would run. All the time. It was pure hell, especially since I can't just blow my nose like everyone else since that doesn't seem to work for me. Ice cold water bottle? Nope, because the class where the heat would get me was the final class of the day and the only water I could have by then is the barley cold water fountain water which varied from day to day on taste. I usually just went to the bathroom for 10-30 minutes and either sat in there or ran cold water on my wrists hoping it'd get me colder.
At least during the cold days I could just wear a fucking jacket and the sun wasn't beaming into my eyes while I tried to focus on a stupid fucking writing test about what makes a book good or bad. Fuck hot days, my body specifically was not made to endure them, I'm not even obese or anything, and this has been since forever ago when I was a scrawny kid everyone thought wasn't eating enough.
I will agree that there is a limit to cold, but the limit to heat is much more easily and commonly crossed, especially with humidity in its favor.
