I like the contrast. I like when something that isn't really common is portrayed. How it feels at the same time a bit taboo but not quite, because a man who is confident enough in himself to be feminine in today's society is definitely a guy who would treat you right.
The contrast is what I adore. When they seem rough, tough and menacing but they're actually soft and kind, when they look kinda masculine (like say, with quite a bit of muscles) but actually indulge in feminine things (wear skirts, have a pink beard, sport a hello kitty backpack).
I just love it.
And maybe it's also something about daddy issues, because a man who seems kind and friendly would never hurt you. But I'm not sure.
