Have you seen Gotham? There is a scene where some guy wants to harvest someones eyes. In an act of defiance, she pulls out her own eye with a spoon, throws it on the ground and steps on it.
That was a BOSS fucking move. But guess what? Right away, she woke up with a coloured contact and the show said: "Oh we did you an eye transplant all good again" and the whole thing was ruined. Suddenly her sacrifice means nothing because she got it back.
And the same is true for DareDevil "Oh no I lost my vision and now I have SUPER VISION whatever shall I do?"
"Oh no, I forgot how to ride a bicycle but now I have the power of flight!" And why would you think I like the ninja training? In the very same post I complained about DD just becoming Batman for marvel. Basically a super detective with extremely good senses and foresight, critical thinking and deducting skills, martial arts ninja. All he's missing is money.
