People would rather keep up with the Kardashians or hate politicians that are popular to hate on or spoil themselves in economies with no actual backing wasting their money on materialist goods that don’t mean anything to anyone. Rather than, ya know, achieve immortality and experience the closest to perfection our species may ever get and all explore the galaxy within our own lifetimes. It just isn’t popular. The common public, or dare I say it (and my apologies in advance for using autistic /b/ terminology), the “normies” have an incurable zeitgeist that causes them not to care about the grand scheme of things.
I bet most of the technologies I stated and are stated in this thread could be created and fine-tuned before the end of the 21st century, but they won’t. They won’t because no one will show interest, give necessary funding or supplies, or bother working on any of it themselves.
