People with aspergers need social skills training and intervention at a young age. This costs money. People with Aspergers have a very high rate of unemployment. It is a disability. It is harder to function in society with Aspergers than without. Why would anyone want to have a disability as opposed to not having one?

Depends on what kind of assburgers you are talking about.

I would wager that many kids with 'aspergers' are just sheltered nerds who - if forced into enough regular social interaction - would become well-adjusted.

This doesn't apply to actual autists though.

Don't worry, Aspergers is being genocided. At least in the UK there is not formal diagnosis of Aspergers anymore, just Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Eventually we'll all die out.

The thing that differentiates normans and aspies is that normans learned proper social communication at a young age. Aspies could learn how to dominate social conversations better than any norman, given enough time.
