Can one of you math whizzes explain to me why 5(?5 - 2) / -1 is equal to 5(?5 - 2)?

I understand that you want to multiply the numerator by -1, but shouldn't that give you -5(?5 - 2)?

Where does the - in front of the 5 go?? Help!
