>graduating a year early
>want to go to grad school and study what i really love
>physics PhD cucks you out of 6 years living off measly stipend
>want to work in industry, work on passive income, and save up for a few years so i can live comfortably during PhD and use stipend as more or less a bonus
>the longer industry break i take, the harder itll be to get into good programs (especially top schools which i might have a vague shot at)

What should be my path?
Apply before i graduate, defer enrollment by a year, work good paying silicon valley corp and save hardcore for that year, then do PhD? Would getting a masters instead give me a little extra time, like 1 year industry, 1-2 years masters, then back in industry for 2-4 years, THEN PhD?

Help bros I need to figure shit out
