So it is late 2019, the whole world lives in obliviousness, nobody expects what is about to happen in some months.

What were the odds of an event like this happening? Give me your percentage probability on the likelihood of a global pandemic prior to 2020.
How high was it, and if so, why wasn't it even widely acknowledged until after it unavoidibly happened?

Would you have said this was a high chance of happening at the time?
And if hypothetically the ongoing pandemic ended and all restrictions were lifted, how likely would it be that a new pandemic happened? Would it still be 8.72%, higher, lower?

No. Mathematically speaking, a "high change" is a probability greater than 10%. According to my computer model, if restrictions were lifted then there will be a 14.21% chance of a similar pandemic in the following 20 years

Well this is quite interesting. So that would mean that if your calculations were accurate, lifting restrictions and "going back to normal" (stuff as in pic related, for instance) would mean then a high chance of another pandemic?

I'm 35 and this has been talked about all my life, which is why schizos think its part of some grander plan but if you go backwards its been a big concern as far as the seventies. We just had spanish flu a hundred years ago, this was basically a case of when. SARS was the first eye opener but it wasnt good enough.

Maybe if you lived under the rock but every single Internet community that was discussing X-risks used a global pandemic caused by some influenza-like virus as one of the most likely scenarios. We had several close calls before that, with bird flu, SARS etc etc. Now the same normies who were dismissing those risks for decades cry "why did nobody warn us". Maybe humanity is just too dumb to survive.

Because it wasn't contagious prior to developing symptoms, and when someone did develop symptoms, it knocked them on their ass. It made it very easy to trace and quarantine.
