I'm not gonna pay 50$ per chapter. That's ludicrous. Obviously I probably wouldn't be following this guide if I was already filthy rich.

I got Probability: Theory and Examples on Libgen no problem.

I need Graduate Texts in Mathematics and Methods of Mathematical Finance anyone got it or got a link?

Look up some of the great school's old bs economics stuff. Believe it or not, it used to be offered as a bs. It was what spawned all the quants. Or if you can get into it, get an mba from university of Chicago.

I've met Karatzas. Good guy, sharp as a tack. Incredibly well-read too; he has the biggest collection of Loeb Classics I've ever seen.

Going down the path of mathematical finance is a really long-winded way of learning you can't win. But you can win. It's not worth your time. Study the markets, learn about the realities of business, grease up to the right people. If you have it, you can get it.

No, Oksendal's is fucking messy, has no coherent narrative, a lot of theorems are in weird specific forms (Feynman-Kac is the one that comes to mind) and I suspect some of the exercises are wrong (specially in the control theory section). Also it's about SDE's in general, not mathematical finance.

Interesting. I thought Oksendal's book was much more rigorous and harder.
Are those 3 books enough to at least get a peek at what quants do and how does finance works? Quant finance is nonexistent in this third world shithole (Philippines), so I might move to HK for that.
I know enough Analysis to start a rigorous study on measure-theoretic probability. But if need be, I guess I'll just review Baby and Papa Rudin.
