Why is human female fertility so shit? Women have only around a decade of their lives in which they can reliably conceive. A lot of people these days can’t even afford to have kids until they’re in their 30s at which point 90% of a woman’s eggs are already gone.
Not to mention how dangerous childbirth is and how there are so many risks and complications even in first world countries with modern medical care.
How the hell did the human race last this long when our ability to reproduce is so limited and risky?
