Controversial positions thread. ITT post your /sci/-related controversial positions. They can include both beliefs (things that have an objective answer as to whether they are true or false, i.e. "this QM interpretation correctly describes objective reality") and opinions (things that are merely a matter of preference, i.e. "this notation is dumb as fuck").

I'll start with mine:
>.9...?1
>not all .9... are equal to each other
>if you don't understand hyperreals, you need to fuck off out of .9... threads
>SRT and GRT are false
>Copenhagen Interpretation and MWI are both false
>matrix notation is retarded
>academia is kiked and should not be supported; support private research institutions instead
>people that say "demonstrably so" are egotistical pseudointellectuals
>people that say "QED" at the end of a proof are egotistical pseudointellectuals
>people that say "infinitely many" instead of "infinity" are in theory pseudointellectuals, but this is so pervasive that most people just say it because they jumped on the bandwagon after a few pseudointellectuals started saying it many years ago
>Pythagoras is based as fuck
>algebra is cooler than geometry
>calculus is cooler than trigonometry
>dot products and cross products are kinda weird
>gravitons exist
>gravity is a fundamental force
>ether exists but not necessarily with all of the specific attributes attributed to it by contemporary or historical scientific theories
>space and time are quantized
>"spacetime" is a dumb word that should not exist
