Are SD calculations accurate at +5 standard deviations?
Assuming 3 inches is standard deviation and the average height in Finland (Where I live) is 5'11
I calculated that there should be around 190 men men that are 7ft tall or 215cm. My brainlet brain did this just by 0.15^5 since isnt top 15% one SD?
Does this calculation apply at extremes like that? I mean I have no way of verifying the amount to be 190.
How accurately does this portray the real amount of 7ft tall men in the population?
