what classes are you taking next semester? I'm definitely taking 202A, and thinking about 141 because manifolds sound nice and i've been skirting around them in various classes this past year. however, math 214 (grad differential manifolds) is gonna be offered in the spring, so I'm not sure that there's any utility in taking the undergrad version with some russian postdoc who's gonna hand out C's like candy.
and concerning your post, i actually thought of doing applied math/physics, took physics 7a, and noped out of applied math after that. I dont know what it is, but i just become absolutely retarded when trying to tackle physics mechanics problem and drawing fbd's for some autistic triple pendulum system, despite being really into ODE's and dynamical systems on the math side.
