>>10591939>I don't think I value intelligence in a girl that much but maybe that's because I've never had to deal with dumb gfs.You are lucky.
>be me>have gf who is not highly educated - I'm not saying she was dumb, but she was average, I guess.>but is nice and interesting and curious about the world and all sorts of good things *plot twist*
She was also extremely attractive. pic related: her doppelganger
>stay in relationship waaaaaaaaay too long>Mostly because she was so attractive, I'm ashamed to say.>but also because she was so positive: I tried to break up with her once, saying things aren't working out well and some shit (but really because I wanted more intellectual stimulation from a gf) and she countered with:
>"well, when there are problems you don't just quit. we have to work things out and make our relationship better. let's work together at making things better.">we don't break up, and instead continue relationship for another year+finally broke up and am now with very smart woman
UPSIDE: Learned that the most important thing is knowing what is most important to you in a gf.
If you want someone who is intellectual/sporty/outdoorsy/religious/serious/goofy or whatever, DON'T date someone who can't provide that.
I had a friend who dated a woman for 6 years - they broke up because she didn't want kids and he did.
-- Kicker: they both knew this about each other at the START of their relationship.
He could have spend those 6 years looking for or with a woman who DID want kids. What a waste.
