2. DO your research
3. Have a sitter and a safe, calm environment
4. Set and setting are very important
5. Don't worry too much and don't anticipate anything because you will turn the anticipation into a trip. One time I was out eating mushrooms with people and we were waiting for it to kick in, and we kept asking each other when will it kick in, well turns out half-way into our trip we realized that the waiting for it to kick in became the trip itself. It's very odd how that happens but best you can do is try to relax the fuck out, don't stress yourself over what's going to happen next. Won't really be a problem with DMT since it's instantaneous but still you should know about this. Psychedelics act like an amplifier for reality. They can amplify everything you experience to such a ludicrous degree that it loses all meaning, and half of the time you won't be aware of it and you'll just be in a state of general astonishment.
6. Prepare for some serious reality shattering moments, this is no joke and your entire philosophy of life is questioned directly. Most people come out better though.
7. IF you do happen to have a bad trip, don't resist it because you'll make it worse. Try to exercise or breathe deeply. In most cases the bad feeling will go away when you stop resisting it. You're in for a ride, you can't do anything about it so just let go.
8. Be smart about it in general. See points 1 and 2.
Good luck
