>>10305651Ok, if you want to optimize your chances for med school chem is a dumb choice. You'll be taking a bunch of quantitative courses that'll just tank your GPA and have no relation to medicine (Quantitative Analysis, Pchem, etc.)
Your best choice if you're 100% on med school is any major that lets you take the core premed prereqs (1 year bio, genchem,ochem,physics,biochem, statistics/calc) and easily electives.
Types of majors that full into this category are things with "health sciences" or "public health" in the name.
An easier option is to major in a humanities degree, preferably one that you enjoy. Just make sure the major you choose is in a department with lax grading standards. If I was still premed (changed to cs+statistics), I would've majored in Poli Sci and taken the premed prereqs on the side. Adcoms don't give a shit what you undergrad major is
