Well...if /sci/ hates CS, and as I've seen, has shown positive opinions regarding electrical engineering, why not combine them into computer systems engineering/CE?

It seems to be a theoretical blend of software, hardware, and electrical topics?

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Pic unrelated

/sci/ actually loves CS, which you can see if you read any of the threads. CS fanboys post strawman "CS is bad" threads as a means to draw out all of the pro-CS arguments from around the globe. and only CS majors are that devoted to 4channel/sci/, which implies they get a wonderful endorsement of CS each time around.

No need for it, CS is already trivial to learn, better invert that time in non-trivial EE topics like electromagnetics or RF. More math courses like complex analysis would also be good.

I'm doing this, and my school is pretty much on the path of amalgamation of the 2 programs. There's like 2 courses which are different total.

Because to understand and contribute to cs in a meaningful way you need to study mathematics. If you want to know how a computer works you do EE. But there are the absolute brainlets who fell in love with the small amount of power given to them by programming and whom are content in being a code monkey with no thought.
