>>10285368why'd you go to a school known for industry prospects for physics? Do you plan on going into industry or getting a further degree?
>>10285405I hope you're prepared for an unforgettable luncheon. Do you think the industry is getting saturated with ChemEs or is it just autists that can't get a job?
>>10285413Hope you're doing internship/projects if you want to go into industry, and research if you want to go into academia.
>>10285527I hear the alumni network there is phenomenal, by "partied more" do you mean "got to know more people" or just "had more fun?"
>>10286935did you make use of the opportunity to network?
>>10287182I guess you need to "dig in" next semester. Also don't forget to network, orediggers are surprisingly overrepresented in fields like oil and gas.
>>10287282Wow that's a rare one on a board like this. Why'd you choose the military over industry or academia?
>>10287958I don't think the IIT's and the C9 cull as hard since most of the selection happens with the IITJEE and Gaokao, respectively.
>>10288922try to figure out which specialties the students you hate are going into and then do the opposite. Or just do whatever you want since you'll probably have a lot of independence as a doctor.
>>10289745hoestly that could work if you focus more on the process of building/gettting money for it, how you got into tech culture in the first place, etc. rather than just "I like vidya lol"
>>10290626you going into grad school or medicine?
>>10291682That's an advantage. Your life experience makes you more determined than the flaky 18 year olds of which the majority will drop out or switch to something else. Just focus on yourself and, when you transfer, on getting to know professors and the students who you think will succeed the most (again your life experience helps here). Usually the only trouble faced by older students is the difficulty of classes due to their less flexible brains but you don't seem to have that problem. Godspeed.
