Because I hate people, and working from home is ideal, programming works for me too.

Besides I like drawing, so why not? btw, picrel is very r/antiwork and that sub is full of commies.

it might be a slightly better option that doing a desk job or something else I don't enjoy. Every good artist is making a living off it so it can't be that bad. Would be cool if I could do what I enjoy for a living and have time for other things, vs having no time and energy to get decent. If I could find a job I genuinely love yeah fuck it I'll do it & just do art for fun, but everything sucks dick so I might aswell do art & have time for other things.
