How do I fix this? I should've made the shadows a bit more redder, gradient map won't work because of the bounce light that I need it to be going towards white

you need a non destructive workflow. Use values only and color layers for the color.

An easy way to add color to certain tones is to create a layer with the color you want on it, Clip the Layer, then adjust the layer style. At the bottom there's "Blend If Gray" and Underlying Layers. Hold alt to split the arrows. Then set the blend mode to Soft Light or whatever works for you and change the opacity if needed. This works especially good for subsurface scattering, as you can easily put color on just the terminator and not the darkest shadows or brightest highlights.
