What exactly is the point of difference between legit bad drawing skills and decent drawing skills paired with an ugly/unappealing art style? Isayama improved a lot to the point most people generally like his art itself at this point, but plenty of people still seem to shit on it constantly

He sucks at some things but the things he specialized in drawing really well he can draw really fucking well. The titans have warped bodies on purpose so some retards who over analyze everything think he doesn't know human anatomy.

But the Titans are warped on purpose and humans have limbs that taper to small hands and small feet on purpose. Because it is a style choice and giant mutated humanoids. The true talent and skill that is breath taking is the man can draw eyes and 3d planes on the human face better than most artists.

The only thing I think he sucks at drawing is horses. Since in some panels he'll forget they have eyes on the side of their head and his forward eyes facing super realistic horse will looks creepy as fuck.

Japan has an active manga industry. That's literally it. Anyone in there that has some sort of story to tell can submit their drafts to a publisher, newspaper or online to get their stuff out. If your country doesn't have an active comic industry, you shouldn't draw with profit in mind. ahahaha

If you insist in making money off your drawing, you have to pander to the US Dollar. Pander to the Americans.

My country doesn't have an active comic industry, as a result, most comic artists here learn English and either work for Marvel, DC or Publish their webcomic on Webtoon, Tapas.

Anime is a more popular medium, the manga definitely took Japan by storm though, even before the anime. And the art was definitely worse then.
