Why drawing on paint so much fun? What makes this software so simple and really shitty so much fun to play around?

Kinda sad this last version of paint is absolute shit, I had hopes they would add some sort of basic features there were lacking in late version like layers or gradient and the software would be useful at least as an entry-tool for beginners and people who don't want to use gimp or photoshop, but is so shitty.
